By accessing or using BuildMatch ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Platform Description

BuildMatch is a marketplace that connects homeowners with vetted home-improvement contractors. We facilitate introductions and provide tools for project management, but we are not a party to any agreement between homeowners and contractors.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

4. Contractor Relationship

Contractors listed on BuildMatch are independent professionals, not employees or agents of BuildMatch. We vet contractors through our verification process, but we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any work performed.

5. Payments and Fees

Homeowners may be required to pay deposits or project fees through the Platform. Contractors may be subject to lead fees or subscription charges. All fees are outlined at the time of transaction and are subject to change with notice.

6. No Guarantees

BuildMatch does not guarantee any specific outcomes from using the Platform. We do not guarantee that you will find a contractor, that work will be completed to your satisfaction, or that any particular contractor will be available.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildMatch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangibles.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
